Arnold Ash Series Bonus Round

It was great to see so many players participate during the heat of July in the additional bonus round. The Arnold Ash Series Leaderboard will be running until the end of season event in December. This counted as the fourth event in the series and the final chance to accrue points for the Enteractive Cup 2021.

Foster Secures Maiden Title

In the bonus round players could play their 18 holes at any time throughout the month of July. The scoring varied considerably but Andy Foster was able to claim his first Series win with 39 points. Playing off 24, the result looked unlikely at half way. Persistence paid off however, being just 6 over par on the back nine, saw Foster return with 24 points and win by one point overall.

Peter Cotton managed to put a solid round together to take second place on 38 points. Closely followed in third with his first podium finish as well was Martin Collins on 37 points.

‘Brain Foundation’ Main beneficiary

It was decided that for this bonus event all entry proceeds would go directly to our chosen charity. The Brain Foundation, who work closely with disabled adults and children to bring sport into their lives, was our chosen charity on this occassion.

I am really pleased to say that we managed to raise 500 euros. A massive thank you to all the players who generously donated over and above the minimum 10 euro’s entry fee.

Autumn Return

There is now a break until the Autumn when we return with the Arnold Ash Series – November. Make sure to keep this in your diary and join us again later in the year. Watch out for any additional events popping up, meanwhile the attention moves across to the Enteractive Cup taking place on the 27th – 29th August.
