Hall Pips Christensen In First Enteractive Masters

In one of the tightest events we have ever had, Nigel Hall secured the first event in the Enteractive Race to Spain.

A very closely fought affair saw 6 players finish within one of the eventual winner. The leaderboard  was changing constantly throughout the day. On the back nine however, it was Nigel Hall who eventually ran out winner on count back from Nick Christensen with 40 points.

Four players are then vying for third place on 39 points. Again on count back Davide Marchisio managed to pip the charging Irwin Gratil, Henric Andersson and late entry Lasse Poholja.

Canaki and Co. Take Down Team Prize

It was a similar scenario in the Team event where we had 4 teams within 2 points of the eventual winners. Sitting pretty in 3rd place were Team Baldacchino until Team Zachau managed two birdies at the 18th to secure 3rd place on count back.

Long time leaders Team Romero took 2nd place with an impressive total of 91 points but just lost out to winners Team Canaki. Consisting of team captain Peter Canaki, Karl Andersson, Steve Boyle and Individual Winner Nigel Hall they managed to amass a total of 92 points overall.

Naudi Keeps Up Great Form

As always there were supplementary prizes across the day. The first of the Longest Drives at the 8th hole went to in form Andrew Naudi. He would have also taken down the 15th hole longest drive if it wasn’t for Joshua ‘Guns’ Cornwall-Walker who surpassed Naudi’s effort with ease.

Nearest the Pin on the 7th saw newcomer Melvin Ritsema finish the closest, proving that handicap makes no difference on these holes! The last prize of the day saw Tour veteran Steve Dodd secure nearest the pin on the 17th, capping off a cracking day all round.

Summary of Results –
  • Longest Drive 8th Hole – Andrew Naudi ( Sponsored by Enteractive )
  • Longest Drive 15th Hole – Joshua Cornwall-Walker ( Sponsored by Enteractive )
  • Nearest the Pin 7th Hole – Melvin Ritsema ( Sponsored by The Conexus Group )
  • Nearest the Pin 17th Hole – Steve Dodd ( Sponsored by Apcopay )

Race To Spain Kicks Off in Earnest

With this first major event earning players x1.5 leaderboard points, getting a good start to the season was imperative. There are 7 events across the season ( 4 Majors ) and the next event after the summer will be The Enteractive Open. Registration is now open for this event. If you haven’t purchased your ‘Tour Card’ yet you can still secure this for the rest of the season.

Finally it was great to see many new faces and obviously all the resident participants again. I hope to see you all at the next event after the summer.
