Premier League 2018/19 Top Goalscorer Prediction and Odds
Plenty of quality in the race to be the Premier League top scorer for the 2018/19 season. Harry Kane starts as favourite following his form in recent seasons, however don’t rule out the likes of Salah repeating his excellence of last season, not to mention Lukaku, Aguero and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who will be embarking on his first full season with the Gunners.
Tough one to pick out! Who are you backing to be the winner of the Golden Boot?
Harry Kane Top Goalscorer Odds 11/4
Needless to say the Spurs front man deserves his status as the favourite to lift a third Premier League Golden Boot, and will surely be boosted by adding the World Cup Golden Boot during the summer to his collection.
At just 25-years of age, Kane has scored 108-goals in 153 Premier League matches and despite being overshadowed by Mo Salah last season, the England captain still managed to underline his growing credentials with 56-goals in all games during 2017, the highest in Europe!
Yes, that is correct, more than the likes of Ronaldo, Messi, Lewandowski and Neymar. In fact, no other player has been able to boast this fact since 2009, other than Ronaldo and Messi.
Another impressive fact is that since the 2014/15 season which saw him score 21-goals, Kane has managed to improve on that tally each season, 25 in 2015/16, 29 in 2016/17 and then 30 last season.
At this rate of improvement, someone is going to have to have a hell of a season if they are to stop him from winning a third Premier League top scorer accolade.

Mohamed Salah Top Goalscorer Odds 5/1
The diminutive Egyptian had a quite brilliant debut season for Liverpool, scoring 32-goals in 36-appearance, not to mention the additional 10 he scored in Liverpool’s run to the Champions League final.
To think that less than two years ago Chelsea didn’t feel he was good enough, and that Klopp paid Roma just €42million for him last season, is incredible to believe.
Make no mistake, the pressure is on Salah after a season of such excellence which saw him be the Premier League top scorer, however when you look at the quality around him in Mane, Firmino, Keita, Fabinho and Shaqiri, not to mention the attacking style of football manager Klopp likes his team to execute, then it makes perfect sense that Salah could very well scale the heights he did last season.

Sergio Aguero Top Goalscorer Odds 7/1
This could be Sergio Aguero’s last season at Manchester City, after he expressed an interest in returning to finish his career back in Argentina.
Man City fans wouldn’t begrudge him that move after what would be eight seasons of service, especially if another exceptional season of scoring helps City to a second consecutive Premier League title.
Aguero has scored 143-goals in 206 Premier League appearances, and was also the Premier League top scorer in the 2014/15 season.
Four consecutive seasons of scoring 20+ Premier League goals is a more than impressive return, however there are question marks over his fitness and if can last the full quota of 38 matches, not to mention the other competitions.
Last season he only featured in 21 Premier League matches and still managed 25-goals. Imagine if he played the full season!
Adding to this, he is surrounded by some of the very best assist talent in Europe like Kevin de Bruyne, meaning there will be plenty of opportunity for him to find the back of the net during the 2018/19 campaign.
Sergio Aguero’s best moments for 2017/18
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Top Goalscorer Odds 7/1
A proven goalscorer with Dortmund and with Arsenal, despite only joining them in January of this year. Aubameyang has already scored 10-goals in 13–appearances since his arrival in North London, and if his Bundesliga form is anything to go by, 98-goals in 127-matches, then we are in for a thrilling battle of the Golden Boot.
He has had an excellent preseason for the Gunners and looks really sharp, although there are some that still doubt he has what it takes to crack the Premier League. Not sure who these people are, however I am pretty sure they will be proved wrong.
Aubameyang has averaged 0.85 goals per league game over the last three seasons, a proven goalscoring statistic that will be perfect for new manager Unai Emery’s 4-3-3 formation.
Expected to play alongside him are Mkhitaryan and Lacazette, two players that he has a superb understanding with and an attacking trio that would be enough to break down the meanest of defences on any given day.
Arsenal fans will be really excited to see him flourish like he did with Dortmund, if he does you can bet he will be pushing the likes of Kane and Salah all the way.

Romelu Lukaku Top Goalscorer Odds 8/1
The pressure was on Lukaku last season following his £75m move to Old Trafford, and while it he didn’t set the world on fire, 16-goals in 34 Premier League appearances was not the worst return. However, more will be expected this season by the Old Trafford faithful and the player himself during the 2018/19 campaign.
At just 25-years-of-age he is a proven goalscorer, racking up 101 Premier League goals in 220-appearances. At this rate he should eclipse goalscoring legends like Michael Owen, Robbie Fowler and more, at some stage over the next season, or should I say by the time he is 27!
If he is to challenge for the Golden Boot he will have to increase the amount of shots at goal. Considering he operated at a shooting accuracy last season of 9% higher than Harry Kane and 6% higher than Mo Salah, the stats suggest being more proactive in front of goal, could tip the balance in his favour.

Gabriel Jesus Top Goalscorer Odds 12/1
There is no question about the talent Jesus has in front of goal, and in a team with so much attacking flair and so many providers, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he was in the running as the season unfolds.
His 13-goals were crucial towards City’s title winning campaign last season, so much so that he has been rerwarded with a new five year deal of over £100,000-a-week, however you can bet he will want to improve on this return. With a 59% shooting accuracy last season, there is no reason why he couldn’t finish the season top scorer.

SPORTSvox.com Prediction
Have to say this really is a difficult call to make with any of these players capable of going all the way. Looking at the transfer business Klopp has done this summer and the way he has strengthened his midfield, Salah is going to edge it for me. The quality around him will create an abundance of chances for the Egyptian to capitalise on.
