Premier League Next Manager To Be Sacked Odds
Football management might seem like the dream job for a former player to move into once their career ends, or perhaps the perfect role for a football nut that couldn’t quite make the grade as a player. The reality is that while it might seem like this at times, there has never been more pressure on Premier League managers than there is today. The Premier League is driven by commercials meaning the pressure is constantly on to deliver results. In football, memories are short with past successes no longer a benchmark. It is all about the here and now and if those targets for success are not met, the manager is ultimately accountable and will more often than not find themselves sacked from their job as a Premier League manager.
Let’s have a look at some of the managers that could very well be in the firing line and if there is any value in backing the odds for them to get sacked next!

Claude Puel To Get Sacked Odds 5/2
According to the bookies Puel is leading the race to get sacked first. Not sure if this will really be the case to be honest. Leicester may have lost their opening clash to United 2-1, however they did make a good account of themselves at Old Trafford.
The Frenchman guided the Foxes to 9th place in the League last season, hardly the worst return for a team that in all honesty isn’t a top 10 side.
There are a few considerations that need to be looked at in Puel’s case. The departure of their playmaker Riyad Mahrez, will certainly leave a shortage in their midfield creativity, which could have a knock-on effect when in comes down to the performance of Jamie Vardy.
Their up and coming fixtures could also represent a challenging time. Next up is Wolves at home, who showed in their opening clash that they won’t be an easy game. This is followed by Southampton, Liverpool, Bournemouth, Huddersfield and Newcastle.
If Leicester don’t accumulate points during this period, except Liverpool of course, then the pressure will be ramped up immensely on the Frenchman.
Finally, we know the Leicester board has very little patience for lack of results, just ask Claudio Rainier. The “Tinkerman” got sacked after a run of bad results, despite winning them the Premier League title!

Javier Garcia To Get Sacked Odds 13/2
Watford went to some lengths to land Garcia as their manager, so one would expect the club to give him time?
They did get their season underway with a win at home to Brighton, although they still remain fourth favourite to get relegated at 5/2.
Over the course of the season they are expected to struggle. They never recruited well and have severe defensive frailties that will yield plenty of goals. They also don’t have any cutting edge in front of goal, an area they will struggle in all season.
If this logic becomes a reality, I expect the board will realise they have made a mistake and bring in someone else to try and turn things around with time to spare.

Jose Mourinho To Get Sacked Odds 7/1
Mourinho has done himself no favours during the preseason, constantly moaning about lack of transfers, his World Cup stars on extending holiday and more.
It appears his relationship with the United chief Ed Woodward is severely fractured. Adding to this, with United looking to bring in a Sporting Director to control the transfer side of the club, Mourinho has started to refer to himself as a coach and not a manager.
Then there is the well documented situation of Paul Pogba, who has reportedly been looking to push through a move to Barcelona. He apparently no longer wants to work under Mourinho and has already agreed personal terms with the La Liga champions.
This news will alarm Manchester United fans, especially after Pogba’s superb form in the World Cup, something many feel he can’t replicate under Mourinho and his defensive style of play.
Further rumours have also surfaced about United’s interest in getting Zinedine Zidane to Old Trafford. This speculation might be rather outlandish, however if true, one would expect the United owners will find a way of pushing Mourinho out.
Mourinho looks unhappy and portrays this all too often in the media. Surely there will come a time this season that United will have to put a stop to all of this negative publicity?

Rafa Benitez To Get Sacked Odds 13/2
There is no denying Rafa Benitez’s quality as a manager and make no mistake the Newcastle faithful know this and back him.
The issue for Benitez is owner Mike Ashley, who down the years has shown that he is a very difficult person to work with. There always seems to be tension with Ashley, and not just with his managers but also with the players and fans.
After losing to Spurs, they have some light relief in Cardiff, before they embark on a nightmare run which sees them face Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal, not to mention a potential banana skin EFL Cup clash with Nottingham Forrest.
If Benitez does get the sack he will most likely be relieved, not to get away from Newcastle United, but away from Mike Ashley.

Neil Warnock To Get Sacked Odds 8/1
Cardiff City are without doubt the worst team in the Premier League. They exceeded all expectations getting into the Premier League although it will unfortunately only last one season. The players should know this and the board will realise this.
On this logic you would expect Warnock to be safe?
Cardiff will most likely be holding up the foot of the table all season, which will ultimately lead to a broken confidence amongst the players. The manager can only do so much to lift his squad when they go week in and week out without a win.
I expect the board might have to bring in someone fresh at some stage to lift the squad.

Mark Hughes To Get Sacked Odds 8/1
Southampton have had 21-managers since the turn of the millennium! Based on this fact alone there is a pretty good chance that Mark Hughes won’t survive until the end of the season.
Last year they almost found themselves in the Championship and since then they haven’t strengthened their squad well enough to avoid another relegation scrap, not the mention the fact that they sold their best attacking player in Dušan Tadić.
Their home record was the second worst in the Premier League last season, if this can be improved, Hughes has a chance of guiding his team into the mid-table.
The main issue for Hughes is the fact that his team will struggle for goals. I can see them constantly chasing games and dropping points.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Hughes is the first to go.
