Premier League Transfer Watch – 4th August
Premier League Transfer Watch
Not a lot to report this week in the Premier League Transfer Watch as we move into the final few days. The deadline is fast approaching, but apart from a couple of large signings we are still awaiting news on the big names.
With signals coming out from Chelsea that Hazard is not for sale. Pochetino keeping his cards close to his chest. Klopp and Guardiola seemingly happy, its being left to the mid table pretenders to hit the news this week.
Fulham bolster their Squad nicely
He was on loan at the end of last season at Craven Cottage and Aleksander Mitrovic has now made that move permanent from Newcastle. He signs for an undisclosed fee and will be looking to build on his impressive 12 Goals from 17 appearances last year for Fulham.
Fulham continued their mini spending spree this week, when they also confirmed the signing of Alfie Mawson from Swansea. The English centre back had a good season despite Swansea being relegated last year. He joins the cottagers for a fee in the region of £15m and is likely to make an immediate impact back in London.
Silva signs French International Digne
Marco Silva has managed to lure Lucas Digne away from the Nou Camp in a £18m deal to secure his services for Everton. The French International who has earned 21 Caps at left back will arrive on Merseyside full of energy.
He will be looking to lock down that first team spot after having spells at Roma on loan whilst at Barcelona. Digne is Silva’s second signing following Richarlison’s move from Watford which we previously covered.
Ones to Watch During the Countdown
Wilfried Zaha
I am a big fan of this player and the thought of him in a Chelsea shirt is exciting. Imagine him on one side and Hazard on the other, I certainly wouldn’t want to be an opposition full back that day.
Sarri seems to be keen but I am sure Roy Hodgson will do all he can to secure the talents that you can see below.
Yerry Mina
A target for Mourinho at United but it looks like they are struggling to agree terms. Could Everton swoop late and hijack this deal with Mina following is team mate Digne to Merseyside?
Anthony Martial
Staying with United but this time a possible move away for Martial who seems to be becoming increasingly unsettled at Old Trafford. Several clubs have reported interest but Mourinho may look to try and keep the young French star who we know has talent.
Thibaut Courtois
Surely he has to leave Stamford Bridge in the next 5 days. Only one year left on his contract, begging to leave, it cannot be a healthy relationship to manage for Sarri. My gut feel is that Chelsea are trying to find a replacement before they say goodbye to the Belgian International.
Still no word regarding Hazard but I am sure there will be a few stellar signings before the week is out. We will try and keep you up to date as things happen.
