Feroz Claims Top Spot In Enteractive Open

In the second of our 4 Major events this season we saw 52 players take their shot at the Title. The anticipation in the air was palpable. It was lovely to see a mix of SPORTSvox veterans and Enteractive virgins as the Tour gains momentum.

Comfortable Victory for Feroz Ahmed

In what should have been a very competitive event, it proved to be plain sailing for Feroz. Playing off 25 for the last time, Feroz amassed a whopping 44 points on the new Royal Malta redesigned Course. Cheered on by his team Feroz won by a clear 4 points. Richard ‘Dickie’  Crossley patiently sat out the prize giving after a computer malfunction by the host! He did secure second spot however with 40 points on count back from an Enteractive virgin in newcomer Rebecca Howes.

All players earning crucial points towards the Race To Spain leaderboard which is now taking shape. With 4 events to play its still wide open who will secure their place at the 2024 event.

Team Haig Secure Victory

In a very hotly contested Team event it was Team Haig who managed to come out on top on 21 Under Par. The team of Alex Haig, Richard Waterhouse, Dickie Crossley and the Individual winner Feroz, managed to snatch it at the death by 1 shot from Team Jacobsen.

Team Haig – Winners

Thomas Jacobsen, Rebecca Howes, Kevin Donovan and Alex Lemire had a long wait to see if they could hold on after going out first. A clear second however as their score of 20 Under Par was two clear of the third place Team Ekmark.

Another great score of 18 Under Par saw Peter Ekmark, Jordan Brown, Karl Andersson and Martin Johansson complete the podium.

Irwin ‘3 Inch’ Gratil Answers Critics

In the contests Irwin ‘3 Inch’ Gratil lived up to his name by nearly securing a Hole in One at the 17th. That was enough to take down the Pentasia Nearest the Pin Prize to the amazement of the rest of the field.

On the newly remoulded 7th Hole Steve Dodd once again showed us that age is no barrier. His consistency on these Par 3’s has won him many a Nearest the Pin and took home the Apcopay Prize.

Accuracy Proves Crucial in Longest Drive Contest

With the new 8th proving a much tighter driving test, Andy Featherstone showed us the way to go. He secured the Longest drive here with a long but very straight attempt.

On the 15th Hole, both sponsored by Enteractive, newcomer Joakim Eklund managed to outshine several others who held the lead throughout the day.

18th Birdie Challenge

The Takomo Birdie and Eagle challenge gave players a chance to redeem themselves on the 18th. The following players managed to make their beer taste that little better in the clubhouse.

Andy Featherstone, Andy Foster, Steve Dodd, Peter Canaki, James Lynam, Jordan Brown and Karl Andersson will all get 10 Euro’s each for their efforts.

When ‘Push’ Gaming Come On Down

The evening BBQ once again was a big success, the food great as always and our resident DJ Phil owning the mic as always. Our ‘Price is Right’ edition gave some great laughs and the chipping contest went long into the night. Thanks once again to our Entertainment sponsors Push Gaming.

The action now moves onto our November Leaderboard Event. Make sure to register to secure your spot, remember you can play anytime on the day. If you are playing outside of the slots however you must book your own tee time and notify me.
